SPADE awarded a project by ONGC Kolkata for Installation of Solar electrification system and water supply arrangement in 3 schools – The schools have been selected by the elected representatives of the Ashoknangar – Kalyangarh Municipality.
The schools are namely:
- Kalitala Vidyamandir
- Debinagar Balika Vidyalaya
- Prajnananda Junior Basic School
BCC and IEC materials to be in place so that 900 families shall have clear understanding about the benefits of using green energy.
Social Milestones:
- Increased use of renewable energy in schools
- Gradual introduction of green energy in public institutions
Interventions are:
- SPADE shall provide year-long maintenance support for the installation.
- The awareness promotion among the students of three selected schools on benefits of the use of green energy and consuming safe drinking water.
- The promoting awareness on the basic Water and Sanitation related issues amongst the school community.
- The neighbouring schools and other institutions might replicate the model as this may lead to reduction of electricity bills and reduce occurrence of water borne diseases.
