Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana had been sanctioned on 26.02.2016 by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textile, Government of India for integrated development of the Artisans of Bamboo Craft at Balarampur Block of Purulia district. The scheme envisages a package of support to the clusters the handicrafts artisans which inter-alia includes capacity enhancement of the artisans together with infrastructure support to the clusters. Tasks to be performed under the said Scheme are as under:
- Baseline Survey, Mobilization and Formation of SHGs comprising Bamboo Craft artisans.
- A Design & Technical Development Workshop covering 30 Artisans of Bamboo Craft.
- One Batch of Training Program for Skill Up-gradation of the 20 Artisans of Bamboo Craft.
